I never thought that freedom from lesbianism was possible. I thought I was "born gay", and at the time concluded that I could not change. It seemed unfair that God would make me one way and expect me to live another way, so He was not somebody that I particularly liked or trusted. It was only when I started to read the Bible more carefully that I realised my sense of "rejection" when the Bible called homosexuality a sin was misplaced. If it is indeed a sin, the Biblical response to it would be that I can be set free.

He will save His people from their sins. (Mat 1:21b)

Armed with this hope, I started to obey God and cooperate with Him as He guided me. Today, more than 25 years later, I can testify that I have changed completely, from the inside out. I was taken by surprise by the complete freedom that I received, not only from lesbianism but also from all other forms of sexual impurity, as I obeyed God.
